Autumn Winter Fash

Autumn Winter Fash

Is it just me or is it feeling freakin’ Christmassy! My birthday (Mid September) marks for me the end of a beautiful summer (most of the time if England isn’t being S***) and the start of fresh crisp air, scarf wearing, hot chocolate drinking, snuggly season.

One great thing about this time of year is Winter fashion and I’m not really one for following trends, I’m more about being yourself and wearing whatever that might be. Here are a few things that I am eyeing up..

❄ Big Slouchy Jumper

I love a good scarf, there’s nothing that says snug more than a scarf.

❄ Floppy Hat
Black
£18

I do actually already have a floppy hat and as tempting as it is to buy a new one (basically because it’s got faux snakeskin trim..) I might jazz mine up with an old belt or something.

❄ Longline Wool Coat
Black
£70

As it’s long it’s perfect for keeping you warm and cosy from head to.. ankle. I wear blacks and grey’s as my neutral colours so this is perfect for working with other items in my wardrobe. At £70 it’s quite an easy sell.

My Daily Outfit; Day Four

My Daily Outfit; Day Four

I got a bit caught up sorting everything for Angus’ birthday this weekend so I didn’t have time to write the last blog post of the week so I apologise for the delay. Never fear, here it is! The last day of our trip was a sad but fun day. We enjoyed Bruges so much and look forward to the next time!

So my final outfit I chose to wear because I wanted to feel comfortable whilst travelling home and whilst saying our goodbyes to this great city.

I wore:

Lace Dress: Primarni

Red Boucle Cardigan: Forver21

Same scarf, same sunnies and boots with some tights I recently bought from Sainsbury’s. They are amazing really soft and perfect. They were 40 denier in a pack of 3 for about £5 so in my opinion a great essential purchase!

Our final lunch was at The Gingerbread Tearoom. It’s right next to Lizzie’s wafles, which is where we went the other day. It was empty when we arrived and we were feeling quite full of rich Belgium food by then! I had carrot and coconut milk soup, an amazing combination. Angus had a goats cheese panini with honey and a white hot chocolate!

So until our next trip I will leave it there. Thanks for joining! X

My Daily Outfit; Day Three

My Daily Outfit; Day Three

Another day, another adventure!

We started our day off with the hotel breakfast, a great selection. The same everyday but always something new to try.

My outfit today:

Sunglasses: Juicy Couture

I am not normally a fan of Juicy, however these glasses were a bargain in TK MAXX and I loved the shape and emerald green inner rim.

Playsuit: French Connection

This was another bargain bought on the FCUK outlet eBay store. Well worth a look if your a fan of the French brand but not the prices. I also bought this great sequin evening dress for a 3rdof the cost and new it was £3-400!

My favourite leggings: Mint Velvet

Leggings are a staple these days and easy to get hold of. I think it’s well worth paying a bit extra for a decent pair as they will last, keep you warmer and  show less of your VPL! These cost £15 and have a think waist band and slightly rouched ankles. They worked really well with the playsuit as its quite short and cheeky so they made the outfit more respectable.

My market bought scarf and rocket dog boots again. I really tried to pack and bring items I could wear with each outfit to keep my bag as light as possible and these two items did me very well.

That cheeky Muubaa leather jacket finishes off the look and keeps me warm whilst stomping the streets.

Edit

Lunch was at a brilliant little place called ‘Soup’. We ate for under €20 (about £14) and couldn’t have touched a bite more! Generous portions and tasty panini options meant we were satisfied till dinner.

For the evening I wore my black jeans ASOS cutout boots, a Primarni vest with a crochet top which I found in a vintage shop near where I live. It was cold out so I popped on my Sainsbury’s jumper (!) and faux fur coat and off we went to another awesome eating establishment. This time, Ribs n Beer. The ONLY option for a big V like me was goats cheese salad with honey and pine nuts. I’m not going to complain as it was nice and we got chips and washed it down with local beer. It was one of those kind of meals where calories are welcomed to the party and enjoyed!

Anyone been up to anything fun this week or planning something for the neat future? Let me know in the comments and if you have blogged about it post the link too! I’d love to see! ❤
